Wedding Courses 2010

NEW for 2010 The Next StepTutor - Ian Lloyd

Tue 26th - Thu 28th January

This new course has developed in response to florist wishing to progress after attending our Starting Out in Business course.

This is a 3 day course to take you to the 'Next Step' on your floristry design journey. Tutor Ian Lloyd will once again be taking the course and checking that your techniques are to the required industry standards.

On day one you will learn how to make modern style handtieds and arrangements using frame works to create these designs. You will start to learn about linear forms that will make your designs stand out from those you did before give your floristry a competitive edge. This style is great for customers who want stylish designs that look modern and large but do not just have lots of flowers crammed in. This is great for corporate clients too.

The second day covers modern and contemporary funeral work. Funeral floristry has in general not altered greatly in 20 years so its time for the next step forward. You will learn how to create distinctive yet commercial funeral designs perfect for discerning customers. Make your funeral floristry designs stand out from the crowds.

The third day will be wedding work. Ian has demonstrated his style of wedding work in 16 countries so you can be sure of picking up some great designs and new techniques. The wedding designs created will be hand tied, constructed using wire and tape and inserted into foam holders.

On each of the days you will see Ian make 6 designs of which you will make 3 in a step-by-step manner.

As with all our courses we use a wide selection of flowers from the traditional to the exotic.
